How it Works

Ladies, at the beginning of the event you will take your seat and remain seated until you have dated all the men.

Men, you will greet a new date every 4 minutes by moving to a new table at the sound of the “ding”.

When you hear the “ding”, it is time to mark your cards and move on.

It is that simple and fun!

Advantages of Speed Dating

This event allows you to meet face-to-face single men and women where you live and work.

Online dating, chat rooms, and just talking on the phone allows people to misrepresent themselves. Speed dating is in real time and you will be putting a face with the name.

In just one speed dating evening, you will go on several dates. Unlike traditional dating, which could take you months to meet this many people.

What can I find out about someone in 4 minutes?

Your goal is to determine whether the person you are meeting is someone that you would like to meet again. Observe your date, listen to their answers, and use your instincts. Remember you only have four minutes, so don’t waste time.

After the Event

Twenty-four hours following the speed dating event, I will email all participants. Those without email will receive a call from me. For those participants with a match, I will provide contact information. The exchanged information includes the first name only, phone number, and/or email. I will also let you know of those who chose you but you did not choose them. This allows you to change your mind on your choice(s). In this situation, I will update the matches and give you their contact information too.

In the event that there is not a match, I will give you special instructions on how to attend another of event for 1/2 price admission.

Rules

To keep the atmosphere fun, comfortable and safe, I ask all participants to observe the following:

  • You may not ask anyone directly out on a date.
  • You may NOT ask anyone for or give out contact information including a last name, phone number, email, address, or employer (not even a business card).
  • Represent yourself in an honest manner.
  • You may not ask any sexually explicit questions nor say or do (including gestures) anything that may be interpreted as being threatening or sexual harassing.
  • I reserve the right to ask anyone with rude, disrespectful or inappropriate behavior to leave the event. These actions will also not allow you to return to any other speed dating event with Serendipity.
  • I do not complete any formal type of background checks on anyone attending.
  • Many singles have the opportunity to make great connections at our events, but please remember that this is a social activity.
  • Be honest about your age when registering.

Age groups for events

Currently, there are no assigned age groups.

Proof of ages before the event

I do not “proof” your age. My events are to be fun, friendly and social, not embarrassing. If it is brought to my attention that an age has been misrepresented, you will be asked to leave the event. This applies to both men and women.

If you are unable to show up, arrive late, or leave early at an event

Please give at least 24 hours prior notice for the scheduled event to receive a credit toward a future event. There will be no refunds. The best solution is for you to give your admission to a friend of the same sex.

Speed dating relies on an equal number of men and women. Please make every effort to attend and be on time.

Once your registration is confirmed, your credit or debit card is charged and your sale is final.
